Sculptra Aesthetic is injected under the skin. This treatment stimulates the production of collagen in the body. As collagen synthesis increases, wrinkles become softer and facial volume is restored.
Sculptra cosmetic results are gradual. This cosmetic injectable does not produce a dramatic, immediate improvement in facial fullness. Most patients choose to have a series of treatment sessions to increase the best volume over a few months.
Injections can cause bruising, bleeding, itching, swelling, soreness, discomfort, and redness. These symptoms will subside after 2-6 days.
Dr. Segura will give you both verbal and written after-care instructions following your treatment. Massaging the treated region 5 minutes 5 times a day for 5 days is strongly advised since it is important for long-term effects and preventing nodules from developing.
Because Sculptra encourages your own body to generate collagen, this procedure takes time, generally about six weeks. The majority of our patients notice full effects after 2-3 treatments.
