A chemical peel is a skin therapy that removes and rejuvenates the epidermis on your face or body. Dead cells in your top layer are dissolved, allowing new ones to form in their place! You may experience some slight peeling for up to two weeks after the procedure, but don’t worry–your skin will be super soft after it’s all over, with minimal scarring since all of those unsightly scars were also removed!
Different chemical peels, depending on your skin type and what you want to improve. Generally, chemical peels involve applying a solution containing alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), or non-acid ingredients. Each has its unique properties for improving your skin. Chemical peels work best when applied to:
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by aging and sun-damaged skin
- Reduce freckles, age spots, and dark pigmentation caused by hormones (melasma)
- Improve the appearance of scarring
- Treat certain kinds of acne
- Smooth out the skin's texture and appearance

Original Vi Peel- Tone & Texture: Best for First-time Medium-Depth Peel clients, sensitive skin, early signs of aging, rough texture, Keratosis Pilaris, and is the perfect maintenance peel.
Advanced VI Peel-Collagen Stimulation: Best for Aging Skin (40+), Wrinkles, Fine Lines, Loss of Elasticity, and Stretch Marks.
Precision Plus Vi Peel- Skin Discoloration: Best for UV-Induced Pigmentation, Sun Damage, Melasma, and Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation.

Lunchtime Peel
Based on your skin type and concerns one of 4 peels (Lactic, glycolic, salicylic or TCA) will be recommended for you. Chemical peels speed up your cell turn over to get healthy cells to the surface, help kill acne causing bacteria, improve texture, increase hydration, stimulate collagen and elastin production, and help lighten hyperpigmentation. These are recommended to be done in a series (4-6 sessions spaced one week apart) for best results for certain conditions. Noticeable results in overall skin health in one session.
A minimal to no downtime peel. One of the two options will be picked: Lactic Acid to address dry skin or sun damaged skin or Glycolic Acid to address acneic, congested, and keratinzed skin. Best performed in a series of 4-6 peels, one week apart for optimum results.
Red-Carpet Peel
With no downtime, this is the ultimate result-oriented treatment. This peel treatment is a must for skin that feels rough or looks dull, as it uses a new, unique combination of exfoliating ingredients to renew and revive your skin. Recommended once a week for a month for optimum results.
Depigmentation Peel Series
A 4 peel series over 8 weeks, designed to lift pigmentation and melasma. Consultation and ZO Pigment Control Kit included. Must schedule consultation 1st prior to setting up peel appointments.

Chemical peels work by creating small controlled wounds that erase superficial layers of the skin, therefore resurfacing the skin. Chemical peels increase the growth of healthy skin layers and cure common issues, including hyperpigmentation, fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture/skin impurities.
There is a chemical peel for every skin type! Dr. Segura will assess your skin and recommend a peel that is right for you.
Don’t worry if you have aged or damaged skin! With a chemical peel, your self-confidence can be restored! Chemical peels are non-invasive chemical treatments that will improve the appearance of your skin and texture.
First, before the procedure begins with prep your skin using the correct chemical peel solution, most people report a mild stinging when the process starts, which fades soon after. Depending on your requirements and needs, the therapy may last as short as 15-20 minutes or as long as 1 hour.
After undergoing a chemical peel, you will likely experience some redness, which usually goes away in 3-7 days. Peeling may take 4-7 days to resolve fully.
In most cases, peels are recommended three to four times a year to repair sun damage and avoid permanent scarring in those who suffer from acne. The frequency of the peel will depend on various factors and will be determined by your skin and Dr. Segura. Our VI Peel can initially be done once a month to get quicker desired results for extremely damaged skin.
